Women Helping Other Women (WHOW) is a non-profit organization that empowers and supports women in their professional journeys, with a special emphasis on minority women who are living below the poverty line. The challenge WHOW faced was securing sustainable funding to support and expand their initiatives. With a focus on empowering women in Oklahoma, WHOW needed expert assistance to navigate the complexities of grant applications to secure essential funding.

SOAR’s team ensured compliance with all requirements and deadlines, culminating in a timely and impactful grant application submission to ProsperOK by the October 15 deadline.

By managing the application process, SOAR allowed WHOW to focus on its core mission of program development, reducing the administrative burden and streamlining efforts towards mission-critical activities. Our close collaboration with WHOW ensured that every aspect of the grant narrative was comprehensive, impactful, and well-aligned with both WHOW’s goals and the ProsperOK grant’s objectives, significantly enhancing the probability of success.

Impact

WHOW secured a $25,000 grant from ProsperOK, enabling them to hire an administrative assistant – a huge milestone for the organization, which had previously relied exclusively on the volunteer time of board members and the Founder. The partnership not only provided immediate financial support but also strengthened WHOW’s capacity for future grant applications, setting a foundation for continued organizational growth and expanded impact for women in Oklahoma.
